Here we publish bike theft statistics.

With these numbers it is explicitely about bikes that have been reported. The estimated number of unreported cases is much higher !!! Calculated by an average price of a bike for about 1’300 Swiss Franks, that makes a claim of 61’448’400 Swiss Franks which the insurances have to pay. If we add also the estimated number of unreported cases of 100’000 bikes that have been stolen but not reported, that makes another 130 million Swiss Franks that come up.
Origin: Federal Criminal Agency Calculated by an average price for a bike of 300-360 Euro, that makes a claim of 8.3 million Euros which the insurances have to pay. The estimated number of unreported cases is 200’478 – by a claim of 60-70 million Euros.
